Circa 1932 Illinois Watch Company 17J manual wind wristwatch. This is the original marked Illinois Watch Company dial with Arabic numerals on dial. This watch was manufactured by the Illinois watch company, a very well known watch company. This particular watch is in very good condition with wear throughout. Please note that this is a vintage watch and would Not be water-resistant.
MOVEMENT: Illinois Watch Company .17 jewels, Movement Serial Number 5516868. Manual wind mechanism (must be wound to make run) Movement in nice condition is functional and all components work. Movement marked “ 307 Illinois Watch 17 Jewels Double Roller FS 5516868 ”. This watch has a 1 year labor warranty through the Illinois Watch Company. This watch is in running condition and works as it should.
CASE: Art deco yellow-tone case with decorative engraving on the sides. Case is in good condition with wear throughout as something you would expect of this age. Caseback is marked on the inside “ Watch Star Case Company 2161806 “. Crown is in good, working condition. Crystal is in good condition with light marks and imperfections. Great size measures 30mm 1.18in not including crown 38mm 1.5in including lugs 10.5mm 0.41in thick. Marks, wear and scratches throughout as what you would expect of something of this age.
DIAL: Original marked ” Illinois ” dial in good condition with Arabic Indices, a seconds sub-dial at the 6 o’clock marker and a minute track around the edge of the dial. Marks, chips and wear on dial but legible and in good condition for its age. Radium dial & radium hands, no longer luminous. Nice hands and markers with patina and oxidation throughout. Overall nice condition, original dial.
STRAP: 16mm brown leather strap with ardillon buckle
